Saif Ali Khan is all set to return after his last outing ‘Chef’. This time it’s going to be a dark comedy called, ‘Kaalakaandi’. The title means a situation which goes disastrously wrong. The very first poster itself shows a queer side of Kaalakaandi. Saif is seen donning fluffy yellow coat, with a gun in his hand and many ponytails on his head. This very poster is a first-of-its-kind appearance of Saif, so far.

The trailer has an interesting story to tell to the audience. It shows Saif as a lively and happy-go-lucky man who yearns to make the most of this life, when he learn about his disease; which has a dead end. When the doctor advises him to do what makes him happier for the rest of the days of his life, there we witness a series of adventurous journey. Together with this protagonist, there are other characters with their own stories that include Kunaal Roy Kapur, Akshay Oberoi, Deepak Dobriyal, Shobita Dhulipala and Vijay Raaz.

Do you remember Delhi Belly. Yes! Akshat Verma is the director of this fantastic movie. Once again, he is taking on a dark comic adventure which revolves around a hapless guy. After watching trailer, it’s quite obvious that there exists quite a many chaotic ironies and botched destinies fiiled with funny tales.

True to its dark fervour, this movie is full of expletive laden rants. For its staggering profanity, CBFC has ordered 73 cuts in Kaalakaandi. Fortunately, these numbers have been reduced to only one by the intervention of FCAT (Film Certification and Appellate Tribunal) WITH U/A certification.

According to source from the CBFC, this movie makes Delhi Belly look like a Disney film. During the release of Delhi Belly, there was a shock in the audience regarding its abusive language; however Kaalakaandi makes a new record with its numerous expletives. To your surprise, there are Vijay Raaz and Kunaal Roy Kapur to add their trademark fun in the film. After all, they do have their fans who would love to see the duo playing together.

Directed and written by Akshat Verma and produced by Rohit Khattar and Ashi Dua, Kaalakaandi will take you to the most thrilling journey of a gentleman turned devil-may-care guy.
